For the techno-freaks, this may be the future?

Lab@Future is a learning platform that uses novel Information and Communication Technologies to support and expand laboratory teaching practices. For this purpose Lab@Future uses real and computer generated objects that are interfaced, using mechatronic systems, augmented reality, mobile technologies and 3D multi user environments.

The teacher or student is able to interact with real and synthetic objects, using special devices. In addition, he is able to specify or carry out an experiment, both in the real and the computer generated world.

This platform developed and demonstrates experiments for the following disciplines:

* Science
* Mathematics
* Arts & Humanities

E-learning reviews

I have just stumbled across what looks like a terrific resource that describes itself as follows.

elearning-reviews provides those interested in research on elearning with concise and thoughtful reviews of relevant publications. The most important goal is a well-balanced selection of seminal publications as well as interesting up-to-date publications from the various disciplinary perspectives

In a recent publication that deals with learning in organisations from a human resource development perspective Smith and Sadler-Smith (2006, p.141) identify questions associated with the following concerns when consideringe-learning in networked and non-networked forms.

1. The nature of the learning objectives.
2. The availability of existing computer-based learning materials.
3. The learner charactersitics.
4. The equipment required for delivery.
5. Learner accessibility to learning materials.
